Katy James

Senior Consultant, Public Relations

Katy brings a rich background in media relations, communication planning, government relations and community engagement to Pilot’s corporate and consumer clients. She has designed, managed and collaborated on award-winning communication plans, brand development programs and provincial and national media campaigns.

Prior to joining Pilot, Katy was an account coordinator and, later, manager at Trillium Corporate Communications, where she worked with a variety of clients, including Dairy Farmers of Canada, Canada Beef, Boston Pizza and Wavefront Technology Solutions.

Katy is an active volunteer with Toronto’s Parkdale Business Improvement Area, the World Wildlife Fund and Outward Bound. She also sits on the public relations sub-committee of Hamilton Hive, an online gateway to business, social and learning opportunities for young professionals and entrepreneurs.

Katy is fluent in French and has spent several years studying and working in Quebec, Sweden, Southeast Asia and Taiwan. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a postgraduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College.
