James Beardmore

User Experience Director

James Beardmore is a UX designer who works from strategy and design through to development. He is a Certified Scrum Master, a certification for managing the development of digital products using agile development methodologies.

Originally from the UK, James comes from an art and design background, studying graphic design, illustration, and fine art.

Before joining Pilot PMR, James was the owner and operator of a web design studio and digital type foundry. James was also Lead developer at One Long House, a globally distributed co-op agency, where he worked on a real estate startup which has since raised $6m in series A funding, as well as websites for the Hammer Museum of Art and Culture, and the UCLA Nuclear Imaging Facility.

James has worked with government, education, start-ups, fortune 500 companies, and non-profits, including the Canadian Medical Association, UCLA, Ontario Association of Food Banks, McMaster University, and University of Waterloo.
